Thornbush Hill

Operating as a true family business, Thornbush Hill is run by Adam and Kirsty as a husband and wife team, with the support of Kirsty’s brother Steve (and of course our two beagles who can be found sleeping in the shop window whilst we work away!).

Kirsty’s candle addiction started when they adopted their two incredibly adorable yet undoubtedly smelly beagles. As much as Kirsty & Adam love them, they wanted the home to carry a scent that is more akin to a luxury spa than eau de wet dog!

Having always been a bit nerdy when it came to making and branding items, Kirsty created her own candles. The dream was to produce a brand that looked great on the mantelpiece, where the scent was immediately noticeable, as well as being an affordable every-day luxury.

Each and every candle, wax melt, reed diffuser and bath tea is blended and poured in small batches in their little studio. Kirsty has adopted traditional artisan skills to ensure the highest quality and finish (Thornbush Hill are CLP compliant and insured). The candles use a plant-based wax, mixture of essential oils and cosmetic grade fragrance oils. The candles are finished with cotton core wicks for a clean burn and strong scent throw. They are also Vegan friendly and cruelty free.

The wax melts are made using a vegetable blend wax and come with a super powerful scent throw. After curing for two weeks, they are ready for their finishing touches; trimming, buffing and their favourite bit, labelled and shipped off to your door.

Every time you light your favourite Thornbush Hill scent you are able to find your one small moment in time, to feel happy, grateful and content. Rise slowly, revive for the day ahead and make time to rest before bed!
